Train operator Northern has advised customers that services will be affected as of next week until early February.
The company, which operates services passing through Harrogate and Knaresborough, announced today that all services will be brought to a halt next Wednesday, January 31.
This is due to ASLEF members — most of who are employed as train drivers — staging a walk out.
Northern has published a travel advice calendar for Monday 29 January – Sunday 7 February to highlight when services will be affected.
It is advising customers to check before they travel as there may be short notice cancellations to services running on the above dates.

Northern's train disruptions calendar
Tricia Williams, chief operating officer at Northern, said:
Northern is the second largest train operator in the UK, with 2,500 services a day to more than 500 stations across the North of England. All of which will be affected by the disruptions.
Ms Willliams continued:
Trains to Harrogate, Knaresborough, Leeds and York will all be affected. For more information about the strike and the services that will be affected click here.
