Plans to build 76 homes in a village between Knaresborough and Boroughbridge have been recommended for approval this month.
The application, which was sent to North Yorkshire Council in January 2023, is on the agenda for the next Harrogate and Knaresborough area constituency planning committee on May 28.
It outlines plans for a mixture of terraced, semi-detached and detached houses on Minskip Road in Staveley.
According to the design and access statement, applicant Thomas Alexander Homes would develop one, two, three, four and five-bedroom homes at the site.
The document adds 30 of the homes would be classed as affordable, including three “accessible bungalows”.
All of the homes will be built using stone or red brick.
The application says the proposed dwellings will “provide energy efficient buildings” and promote "sustainable transport" partly because of nearby buses to Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon and Boroughbridge.
The plans also say the development will contribute to “positive economic growth” for Staveley and surrounding areas through “construction and occupation”.

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust raised concerns about the increased pressure on Staveley Nature Reserve.
Andy Hough, the case officer at North Yorkshire Council, has recommended the Liberal Democrat-controlled planning committee approves the scheme, subject to the agreement of conditions and a section 106 agreement in which the developers agree to pay costs to mitigate for the impact of development.
Mr Hough's report says:
Committee members will decide on the application on Tuesday, May 28, at 2pm.
