Nine players will leave Harrogate Town as the club confirms its end of season retained list.

The club has announced that Lewis Thomas, Jonathan Mitchell, Joe Mattock, Will Smith, Pete Jameson, George Horbury and Finn O’Boyle will leave this summer as their contracts expire.

Brad Williams and Emmanuel Ilesanmi will also be released.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Sivi, Tom Bloxham and Derrick Abu will return to their parent clubs after their loan deals come to an end.

Simon Weaver, Harrogate Town manager, said:

“At this stage of the season, there are always difficult conversations to be had with players who we are saying goodbye to.
“They are all really good lads, they have a fantastic attitude and are really good people to work with both on and off the pitch.
“We want to help them moving forward, we have made that clear to them. If there is anything that we can do to help them in the future career then we will do our upmost to help them.”

The club has confirmed that 18 players will remain under contract for the forthcoming 2024/25 EFL League Two season.

They include Mark Oxley, Josh Falkingham, Warren Burrell, George Thomson, Dean Cornelius, Abraham Odoh, Matty Daly, James Daly, Sam Folarin, Toby Sims, Anthony O’Connor, Rod McDonald, Jack Muldoon, Matty Foulds, Josh March, Liam Gibson, James Belshaw and James Moorby.

Meanwhile, Town have confirmed that seven academy players will be released upon the completion of their two year scholarships.

These include Alex Mooney, Cadarn Taylor, Lewis Smalley, Ollie Nicholson, Alfie Lee, Josh Brodella and Elijah Samuels.
