North Yorkshire Council has said it is still in talks to resolve the future of two Harrogate night spots.
The Viper Rooms, which was the town's last nightclub, closed suddenly in December 2022 and the nearby Potting Shed bar has been vacant for several years.
Both venues are part of the Royal Baths, which the council bought for £9.5 million in 2018.
The Stray Ferret has been tracking developments amid concerns since the Royal Baths were branded an "under-performing trophy asset in 2021".
There are concerns the loss of rental income from vacant units and the low investment returns the grade two listed building has yielded.

Latest council data showing the Royal Baths is forecast to generate only a 1.64% return.
In our most recent coverage last month, the council said it had accepted an offer on the Viper Rooms and an "offer for the Potting Shed is due to be considered shortly".
Five weeks on, we asked if either deal had been concluded.
A council spokesperson gave a brief one-line answer:
We will continue to monitor developments.
